EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND WELLNESS  — Fiscal Year 2019 (FY19) Highlights

We take pride in helping our employees succeed and build meaningful careers at Medtronic. In FY19:

  • We spent $77.5 million on employee learning and development resources.
  • More than 57,000 employees registered on Healthier Together, our wellness platform.
  • We launched Family Care Leave, a new benefit for United States employees that provides up to six weeks of paid leave for certain events, such as caring for a new child or other family members.
  • We launched the Free Cash Flow Challenge — an employee engagement initiative designed to increase our company’s free cash flow — that rewarded eligible employees with an ownership stake in the company through restricted stock options.
