MYCARELINK HEART APP Installation and Setup Instructions

BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD THE MYCARELINK HEART™ APPLICATION

The MyCareLink Heart™ application (called the “app” from now on) is used to automatically transfer data between your heart device and the Medtronic CareLink™ network. Your doctor uses the data to monitor your heart device. The app runs on your smart phone (called the “phone” from now on) or a tablet and uses Bluetooth®* wireless technology and a connection to the Internet to transfer your data.

Before you download the app, complete the following tasks:

  • Confirm that your phone or tablet is charged.

The app download and setup cannot be completed if your phone or tablet turns off when you download or set up the app.

  • Confirm that you have a compatible phone or tablet.

The app can only be installed on a compatible phone or tablet. You cannot install the app on a laptop or desktop computer. Make sure that you have the phone or tablet that you intend to use for remote monitoring. The list of compatible phones and tablets is located on www.mclheart.com.

  • Confirm that you have an active Apple™* App Store™* online store account and Apple ID or an active Google Play™* store account.

If you have an Apple phone or tablet, you need to have an Apple App Store account and Apple ID to download the app to your phone or tablet. If you have an Android™* phone or tablet, you need to have a Google Play account to  download the app to your phone or tablet. If you do not have an active account for your phone or tablet, you need to set up an account before you download the app.
